Boots and Black Tie Discovery Gala 2015

WPI's annual fundraiser was a great success as hundreds attended the Discovery Gala in support of the institute's research program. Together we celebrated the past year of WPI accomplishments and looked forward to the exciting year ahead.
Our guests enjoyed another fabulous silent auction, country entertainment from Buck Ford and the Pure County Band, and a delicious meal. Dr. Iain Buxton, Chair of Pharmacology for the University of Nevada School of Medicine, was WPI's guest speaker and focused his talk on the importance of research and medical discovery. The crowd was in awe during his entertaining and enlightening discourse on the importance of the discovery of insulin and showed their appreciation with a standing ovation.

WPI would like to thank all of the many friends who donated to the evening and especially recognize our gala sponsors: NV Energy, Davidson Institute for Talent Development, R&R Partners, Whittemore Gaming Group, Peter Echeverria Family Limited Partnership, Whittemore Family Foundation, Southern Wine and Spirits, Barrick, Gill Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group, Bowen Hall, Draper Strategies & Communications, Cream, Nevada Newsmakers, The Ferraro Group, The Ghusn Family, Judy’s Kidz Klub, and Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
